Guayaquil is the main port and largest city in Ecuador. It was first founded in 1534 by Moyano Benalcázar, and October 9, 1820, the Guayaquil people declared independence from Spanish rule. Guayaquil is developed very productive because of trade and navigation were the underpinnings of its economy in the shipyards were built boats and the current port became one of the largest in Latin America for the exchange of goods and people with neighboring countries. |
